Years after the excursion, humanity has spread out across the stars in dozens of planets and settlements, with many forming their own cliques and communities to weather the challenges of the Aether. Once united in its efforts to reach for the stars, humanity has been fragmented once again post-excursion. Still, a large percentage of them still fall under either of the two most influential nations: The Solarian Kingdom, and The League.
Of course, other factions of humans exist across the cosmos, given several decades have passed since the excursion and people have had time to settle down into communities of their own. Some even grow into thriving city-states, a shining beacon in the vast void of the Aether.
Peace is currently upheld by treaties of non-aggression and trade relations, but tensions of past events still hold the diplomatic balance between the various factions teetering on a knife’s edge.
