A monarchy ruled by a royal dynasty based in the Solaris system. The ruling king or queen is selected from a fairly meritocratic aristocracy, and typically reigns for as long as they live. They seceded bloodlessly from the League after conflicting ideologies, and now maintain strained diplomatic relations with it.

The space which the Solarian Kingdom has command over is resource rich, including expensive solar crystals which are used in the manufacturing of more advanced Aetherium engines and weapons, or refined into beautiful gems sold as jewelry, and commonly seen worn by Solarian nobles.

Most Solarians have a slightly more conservative worldview, but recent reforms is pushing the nation into a more progressive mindset, catching up slowly to the pragmatic resourcefulness of the League. Women have recently been allowed to join the Solarian Marines, though only as armed medical personnel attached to regular marines.

Loyalty to the crown and honor is a valued trait in Solarian society, with many of its people being honest hardworking people that is fairly meritocratic. After seceding from the League, the general public has been brought up to uphold the military as a respectable career choice and see enlisted men as slightly higher on the societal ladder in order to bolster the newly born nation with armed forces. Solarians are known to be a bit cold towards outsiders, and prefer to keep a comfortable distance between them and strangers from outside their borders.

The military mindset of Solarians led to the nation fielding a sizeable armed force, which while is dwarfed by the League Navy, can theoretically hold their own against their neighbors if push comes to shove. This is thanks to the quick adoption of new technologies such as Lance weaponry by Solarian military command. However, the military forces of the Solarian Kingdom are inexperienced, with only occasional anti-pirate operations conducted by the navy and marines, so if a war were to truly break out between the two nations, it would be hard pressed to see either side gaining a clear advantage.
